Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

That name is Jesus Christ, it does not say we might be saved, may be saved, shall be saved or could be saved.

IT SAYS, 'WE MUST BE SAVED USING HIS NAME'!

His name is NOT, Father, Son, Holy Ghost! In Matthew 28:19 when Jesus made this statement He was revealing His fullness that He is All in All. Remember, He said He came in His Father's name and that name is Jesus. Actually the Hewbrew name is YahuShuah abreviated Y'Shuah also known as Yeshua, but for most today it has been further transliterated to Jesus. (Jesus is very much acceptable so don't let anyone tell you other wise) All the deciples baptized into Jesus Christ, as they completely understood what Jesus meant by the scripture Matthew 28:19.

Salvation - according to scripture

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Baptism in the name of the Jesus Christ for the remission of sins is a necessary step towards the salvation process. I will talk about why Jesus had to be the perfect spotless Lamb for sacrifice for the sin of the world. What is the sin of the world? Why are we born in sin? How did we become a fallen race, fallen gods? The Sin in the Garden of Eden and the curse of Death; reasons Jesus had to be sacrificed on the cross. Also, what actually takes place at baptism? I don't mean the process of the act of baptism, I mean what actually happens to us when we are baptized in Jesus name? Who we become and the changes that take place in our being, purpose and destiny. I will talk about the Book of Life, when is our name written in the Book of Life and how can our name get blotted out of the Book of Life. In revelations it says, "he that over cometh unto the end shall be saved" therefore, our Salvation Journey is not complete until the end.
2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (The Faith is the Doctrine of Christ)
Again folks, our Salvation Journey is not complete until the end.

What happened in the Garden?

Lets look at what took place in the Garden of Eden that separated man and God.

A serious warning from God.

Genisis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

God is saying, if you have a relationship with Sin I will not be able to continue our relationship as I will not commune with Sin.

The tree in this case is Satan, since he was removed from Heaven the earth has been his domain unto this day.

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer(Satan), son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Are YOU deceived?)(Has someone lied to YOU about salvation?)

GOD said:
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Satan said:
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Satan planted a seed of doubt which grew and resulted in a disobedient act against the word of God.
Has anyone planted a seed of doubt in your Christian experience and caused you to be disobedient to God's word?

DECEPTION
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Adam & Eve were already gods; being deceived caused them to become fallen gods and this was Satan's cunning evil plan; to destroy their (our) relationship with God.

3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

NOW, it was not having knowledge that doomed their fate; it was Sin and disobedience that caused the seperation of Adam and God. Actions that separates man from God to this very day.

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

We now know what made man a fallen race But what is the curse that was passed onto us.

DEATH:
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Why didn't they know they were naked before they had sinned?
Gen 3:11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

YES they did.

ADAM was a Spiritual being bright and full of Glory:

Gen 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Adam was created a Son of God, he had a powerful spiritual mind to name all things, he was created to populate the earth with Spiritual children like himself. INSTEAD he populated the world with a fallen race separated from God.

When Adam sinned the Glory of God parted from them and they could see that they were naked. They were removed from the Garden and prevented from eating or partaking of the Tree of Life so they would not live forever in that fallen state. We are the children of Adam, cursed fallen creatures doomed to die. We are separated from God and we cannot get back to him under these conditions. This curse has passed upon the children of Adam, it is called the Adamic Sin, Adamic Curse, Adamic Nature and the Sin of the world;

NOTE: When Christ was on the cross he took on the Sin of the world and the Spirit of the Father seemed to separate even from Jesus at that moment.

Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: -- 'Adamic Sin'

Who Shall Redeem Us?

Sin reigned until God gave Moses the Law and Israel learned how to deal with sin.

Romans 5:14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.
(Adam, a type of Jesus. Adam was created, Jesus was begotten)

1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

How was Sin dealt with? -- old testament (in short)

Deuteronomy 32:8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

The twelve tribes of Israel are God's chosen people in the Old Testament. Israel is the apple of God's eye, a tender spot for God.

Ezekiel 37:27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Abraham was a descendant of Adam, Abraham had Isaac, Isaac had Jacob, Jacob's name was changed to Israel, Jacob had twelve children which became the twelve tribes of Israel. Note: Jews are from the tribe of Judah, only one of the twelve tribes.

Israel will be the subject of a more indepth article so I will not say more than I need to so I can stay on the subject of sin and salvation.

Dealing with the Sins of Israel
Please read all of Leviticus 16.
Leviticus 16:34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

What is Atonement? - reparation for an offense; an act of making amends for a wrong

Romans 5:14 Yet death(Adam's sin is death) reigned from Adam to Moses...until the Aaronic Priest Hood was established.

The Priest made Atonement.

34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year.

16 And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

Sins of Israel:

Iniquities - gross injustice; Wickedness - morally very bad, Evil; Wicked act, - Sin

Transgressions - infringement of violation of the Law

Uncleanness - morally or spiritually impure

The Day of Atonement covered the sins of Israel for one year and this had to be repeated each year on the same day. As you can see, the Day of Atonement did not remit the Adamic Sin; only the shed blood of the Lamb of God could remit this sin and we will get to that very soon. This is a very important point; the blood of bulls and goats could only cover sin for one year. The old testemant saints had to wait in Paradise for the resurrection of Christ as the Day of Atonement pointed to the blood of the Lamb that was to be shed on the cross. This is how Jesus Christ removed the Keys of Hell & Death from Satan. OH Death, where is thy sting!

Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

The blood of Christ *remits sin; Christ is our High Priest after the order of Melchisedec ministering in the Holy of Holys in Heaven for His elect.

*Remit - means to release from the guilt or penalty of

Who are the 144,000 from the Old Testament?
Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

These are the people that Christ freed (by removing the keys of hell and of death from Satan)and preached to them in Paradise for three days after he died on the cross. Many of these saints were seen walking the streets after Christ resurrected and they rose to Heaven with him while they await the start of their ministry here on Earth in the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

New Testemant Salvation

Mark 14:23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And he said unto them, Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

NOW, when Jesus was on the cross he said: "It is finished", What was finished? The old testemant salvation ENDED, the vail of the temple was rent where the Spirit of God dwelled. Luke 23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. The Spirit of God no longer dwells in buildings, the body will now be the temple of the Holy Spirit in the new testemant covenant. For people living in the new testemant there is a new process to follow for being saved, so lets take a look at this and how it came to be.

Let us start at the birth of Christ and why he HAD to be born of a virgin and of the seed of his Heavenly Father by the Holy Spirit.

Remember that everyone born from Adam is under a curse, a curse of death, to remove this curse we need a sacrifice, as was done for sin in the old testemant. While in the old testemant the blood of bulls and goats could not remit this sin, but only by the blood of the Lamb can this sin be remitted, this happens at our baptism. Therefore, we need a special scrifice for this sin and Jesus was the perfect spotless Lamb of God for this sacrifice.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Just to make a point here, everyone has sinned since the cross, so therefore; what is the sin of the world? Adam's Sin. Removing the curse from Adams's Sin to redeem His people is the reason Jesus came, and He was the perfect sacrifice. For man to be redeemed of the Father there had to be away to remit this sin and only through the blood shed on the cross can man put this behind him and start a new and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. Remember, God will not commune with sin and this particuliar sin has to be removed from us as our bodies will now be the new temple of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost has infilled some people before baptism but baptism quickly followed as salvation requires both water and the spirit to be saved.

What made Jesus the perfect sacrifice?

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
(Do you love God?)

Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

Leviticus 22:20 But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.

1 Samuel 7:9
And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.

Jesus was born without the curse of Adam over him, the Adamic Nature! Jesus was born of his Heavenly Father, and born from an untouched, un-contaminated womb, born a perfect spotless Lamb without blemish for a sacrifice for the Sin of the world. The ONLY way to remit this Sin from the world is by using a sinless Lamb and that was Jesus. In the old testemant they raised spotless lambs for sacrifice, it is said, that the stable where Jesus was born was a stable for lambs that were raised to be sacrificed for the sins of the children of Israel. The manger where Jesus was laid was said to be the exact same dimensions as the Ark of the Convenant where Moses laid the ten commandments. Jesus being the Word made flesh was laid in the manger, the likeness of the Ark. In the stable where Jesus was born there weren't any other animals such as; pigs, horses, cattle, camels, just a stable of lambs, born and raised to be scrificed for sin.

John 3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved

1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Acts 8:32
The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

Christ's affliction predicted.
Isaiah 53:7
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Revelation 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Saints of the Old Testemant receive a new name.
Revelation 14:1
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

Revelation 14:4
These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
(Note: These saints resurrected with Christ, that is why they are with him now. Also, when it says virgins it means they were not defiled by other religions (baal), they stayed true/pure to God's commandments.)
1 Kings 19:18
Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.(Read 1 Kings to learn more about this subject.)

No More Curse

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Revelation 22:3
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Christ made a way for us to remove this curse from our life, lets read the scripture and ask; What must we do to be saved? or How do we apply the blood of the Lamb?

Baptism and Remission of Sins

Hebrews 10:18
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
NOTE: This sin has been dealt with one time with the perfect sacrifice of the Lamb and the shedding of His blood. No more blood sacrifices are required for the offering of sin thanks be to the Lamb of God.

Mark 1:4
John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Luke 1:77
To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

Luke 3:3
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

Luke 24:47
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 19:3
And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Phillipians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 5:14
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Romans 5:17
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Romans 5:21
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:3
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:5
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Romans 6:9
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

When Jesus, the Lamb of God, died on the cross he made away for us to follow Him to remit this curse. Paul explained in the above scriptures what takes place during baptism and how it makes us a new creature in Christ--more to come.

What is Repentance? What does it mean to Repent?

Ezekiel 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Mark 1:4
John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. But he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John's baptism prepared many for the baptism of Christ, also the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, a gift from the Father, which would come after Jesus ascended to Heaven. John 16:7

Luke 5:32
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Luke 24:47
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Repentance is for sinners that have lived a life of unbelief and sin. The righteous man, just like babies, need not repent, although both will need to get baptized in the Name of the Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. What sin? The Curse of Death of which we are all born with.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: -- Adam's Sin

What does it mean to Believe?

Acts 10:43
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Believing is natural the first step before you can take action.

Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Believe - means to accept as true, genuine, or real. Therefore you must accept Christ Jesus and His scrifice on the cross as true, genuine, or real before you could possibly go forward to get Baptized. I mean, if you believe in Christ and his message you will do as he commanded, he commanded us to be Baptized in his name for the remission of sins. If you're a true believer then you will act on his word and get Baptised correctly without hesitation. If you don't believe then you won't get Baptized and the Bible says you will perish. Are you a true believer? For those of you that 'feel' all you have to do is just believe and you are saved, then read the following. During the passover when the angel of death was to cause the first born male to die Israel was commanded by Mosses to; sacrifice a lamb and put the blood on their door post and the angel of death would pass without any harm.

What if Israel sacrificed the lamb but just believed the blood would save them? Their first born son would have died. So therefore, Israel had to apply the blood according.

How do we apply the blood of the Lamb so it will save us? Not by just believeing, NO, but by applying it by baptism into the name of Jesus for the remision of sins.

Remember -- Romans 6:3
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

This is how we apply the blood of the Lamb to our salvation.

What is Remission of Sin?

Remission - means the act or process of remitting - to release from the guilt or penalty of sin.

Therefore at Baptism in Jesus name our sins up to that day and time are remitted from our life. All sin, including the curse, gone, not forgiven but remitted and there is a difference. The Day of Atonement was for the forgiving of Israel's sins for one year by the blood of bulls and goats. Christ's blood is for remission of all sin and this only comes by the shed blood of the Lamb of God.

What does Baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ do for you?

I can not express all the wanderful things that this Baptism leads to but, I can express a few.

Baptism sends your sins before you to judgement.
1 Timothy 5
24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

Have you heard the term of being Born Again?

John 3
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

1 Corinthians 3:23
And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Gal 2:20
"I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

The 144,000 Saints in the Old Testemant received a new name and we also receive a new name; we are now in the family of Christ Jesus and are entitled to all his inheritance begining with eternal life. We get our name written in the Book of Life and it will stay there as long as we are obedient and overcometh to the end.

Do not get your name blotted out of the Book of Life!
Rev 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Salvation is a life long experience and is NOT to be taken for granted. I mean all that is promised to us is true so only we can cause our personal salvation to fail.

2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

What does Calling on the name of the Lord mean?

Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

To Call on the name of the Lord
The act or process of petitioning for help or support; a prayer of entreaty (as at the beginning of a service of worship) - a calling upon for authority or justification
To Invoke or Call Forth: - to petition for help or support - to appeal to or cite as authority - to summon a spirit by invocation.

Call on the name of the Lord to be present at your baptismal service for justification, authority and power.

The Holy Ghost - Baptism of Fire

The Holy Spirit is a Gift from the Father. Therefore, fulfill Acts 2:38 first, then the Holy Spirit on that same day or soon there after will come to you. Some have received the Holy Ghost before baptism but baptism quickly follows as they are both necessary for salvation.

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Luke 24:49
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

The Promise sent on the Day of Pentecost

Acts 1:13
And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

Acts 1:14
These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Acts 1:15
And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

Acts 2:1
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 2:2
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Acts 2:3
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

Acts 2:4
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:33
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Acts 3:31
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is essential as this is truely our connection with Christ. This is what makes you a Christian, this is where our hope is; Christ in You is our Hope of Glory. He is our life and without Christ we will whither away for he is the vine that gives life to the branches.

The need to be filled with the Holy Spirit explained by Jesus.
John 15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Circumcision in the New Testemant

This is NOT circumcision of the flesh but circumcision of the heart, an operation that takes place at Baptism. Here are supporting scriptures on this circumcision and the fleshly circumcision.

Acts 7:51
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Supporting scripture;
Deuteronomy 10:16
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

Verifying that this circuncision is hidden and only seen by God
Romans 2:29
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Philippians 3:3
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Colossians 2:11
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Circumcision in the Old Testemant put you under the law and identified you as an Israelite
Genesis 17:11
And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

Acts 7:8
And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

Circumcision in the Old and in the New Testemants puts you in a covenant with God. The New testemant is of the heart, you are marked, but a mark seen only by God. It is a token of his covenant with us, (COVENANT; - a written agreement or promise usually under seal between two or more parties especially for the performance of some action)
A token of HIS promise to us that all he said to us and all he has done for us is binding; ONLY if we keep His ways! As I said before, our names can be blotted out of the Book of Life! So beware, he cometh as a thief in the night.

Endure unto the End - means to remain firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding. Overcome - to gain the superiority: win.

Further to taking your salvation for granted I give this example; Remember the story of Esau and Jacob and how Esau sold his birthright - lets take a look.

Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Genesis 25:30
And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

We must hold on tight to our birthright at all times least someone comes to us when we are week, plants a seed of doubt, and we fall away to apostasy denying the Holy Spirit. Salvation: 'He that overcometh unto the end shall be saved'. If you feel faint in your journey don't give up; call upon the Holy Spirit to strength you and he will make straight your way and renew your hope in Christ.

Rev 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 2:11
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Revelation 21:7
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Therefore my friends, "it is not over until it is over". Then our amazing experience Begins!

If Christ is for us; who shall be against us
    Romans 8:38
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How do we Baptize? What is the Process?

  • Repent by admitting you were living in sin but you wish to turn away and live for Christ.

  • Rise out of the water, hands raised, thanking Jesus
  • You may be filled with the Holy Ghost instantly or sometime later
  • You are a new creature in Christ -- Congratulations!

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

    More Scriptures Suporting Baptism

I would like to provide more scriptures verifying the need to be Baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 6
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyey, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

The curse on our body is destroyed through baptism. How? because baptism points to the blood shed on the cross and this is how we follow Jesus.

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

He gave us a free gift and all we have to do is to follow Him.

    Matthew 19:28
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

    Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost
